Dunblane Trust’s long-term Braeport Centre fears

Image DUNBLANE community hub the Braeport Centre is under threat of closure according to Dunblane Development Trust (DDT) chairman Bryan Grieve.
 
He says Stirling council sold tens of millions of pounds worth of assets last year and he now believes that the Braeport Centre could be next in line as part of the council’s cost cutting.

Selfish drivers urged to get off pavements

Image INVALIDS are being inconvenienced by thoughtless drivers parked on the pavement along one of Bridge of Allan’s busiest roads.
 
Armies of motorists - some parked up to watch football matches in Haws Park -  have commandeered the pavement along Cornton Road.

Locals are missing out on expensive leisure facilities

Image ALLANWATER residents have slated the council’s leisure facilities saying that they are either too expensive or not open for everyone to use.
 
Dunblane community council members complained that under 16s football teams in the area were having to pay £31.27 per hour to use the pitches at Dunblane High School.

Moore’s men set for Alloa

STIRLING Albion will go into the local derby with Alloa Athletic raring to go after picking up their first win of the season away to Arbroath.
 
Boss Allan Moore was delighted as his side survived going down to 10 men and a penalty miss from the hosts to claim the victory which propels them to fifth place in the table.
