Two directors have said the "trust made mistakes"
DDT: Bryan Grieve and David Gill
 TWO directors of the Dunblane Development Trust say the organisation has made mistakes over its relationship with the developers behind proposals for 550 homes at Kippendavie.

Trudy Whyle and Alan Booth have already resigned as directors from the Trust after learning that the consortium claimed to have the backing of the DDT.

Late night freight trains on the Stirling to Kincardine line are making residents' lives a misery
ANGER: Residents have had enough
CAUSEWAYHEAD community council chair Archie Cowan has called on affected residents not to lose their focus over the campaign to  stop freight trains running at night despite the
possibility of receiving compensation.

Last week Holyrood transport minister Stuart Stevenson admitted compensation may be payable to residents along the line whose property has been devalued under the Land Compensation (Scotland) Act 1973.

Three children contracted bacterial infections after swimming in the Allan Water
TESTS: Over 200 children were tested
TESTS carried out on the Allan Water after several local children became ill after swimming in the river have revealed ‘nothing surprising.’

Over 200 young people have been tested for bacterial infection after making contact with the river, but only three - including two Wallace High school pupils - tested positive.

New school has to close as freak weather damages building

Dunblane High School was forced to send pupils home after a heavy downpour of rain and hail
SHUT: Freak weather shuts High School
TORRENTS of water, streaming through the roof of Dunblane High School, forced teachers to send kids home as a freak storm hit the city on Monday.
 
Pupils were sent home just after lunch and staff could be seen emptying buckets of water out the front entrance all afternoon.
